A Minnesota native,
Lisa joined the Rogers Dancesport Center staff in 2005 bringing a solid
foundation of technical training, performance work and teaching experience
across multiple styles of dance. She quickly climbed the
ranks in the Professional American Smooth Division and is a standing finalist
and champion in major competitions across the United States. Since
capturing the 2007 United States Professional Rising Star American Smooth title
Lisa has gone on to be a U.S. Open Finalist, 2 time World Smooth Finalist
and winner of numerous national 2008 and 2009 Dancesport events.
She appeared as a spotlighted dancer in 2 seasons of the PBS television
broadcast of America's
Ballroom Challenge
and was a featured performer and American Smooth representative for the
2008/2009 U.S. Tour of Champions
of the Dance,
culminating the tour with a Broadway stop.
Some of Lisa's most
rewarding moments have been cultivating others through the medium of dance to
discover and develop personal qualities and skills that enrich their life. Lisa
is the honored recipient of the 2009 Community Service Award presented by the
National Dance Council of America recognizing her volunteer work teaching dance
to underprivileged children in Juarez, Mexico. Lisa is proud to be an
ambassador for dance and strives to deliver passionate performances that
capture the beauty and strength of the human spirit and leave her audience
touched and inspired in their own lives.
